December 18, 2022

On November 15, a regular meeting of the IPACS Speaking club participants in Spanish took place.

During the meeting students checked their homework in the format of presentations and talked about popular Spanish brands, TV series and fashion trends that are popular with Spanish youth. In addition to general information and interesting facts, students also prepared thematic dictionaries with new vocabulary for each presentation, which they worked out during the lesson.

Sergey Samoylov, moderator of the meeting and the chief specialist at the International Cooperation Department IPACS, noted “The Spanish Speaking Club is a good platform where students can discuss interesting topics, practice their language skills, learn new useful vocabulary and just have a great time”.

Victoria Torun, 1st year student of the program “State and Municipal Administration” of the Faculty for International and Regional Studies:

“The Spanish Speaking Club is a sea of possibilities. We do not just speak with memorized phrases, detached from life, but use understandable and important vocabulary. At our meetings, all students manage to open up and “break” the language barrier. It seems to me that discussing different topics in Spanish in groups with students will really help me speak more fluently”.

Nika Alekseeva is a 1st year student of the program “State and Municipal Administration” of the Faculty for International and Regional Studies:

“For the lesson, I prepared a small interactive report about my favorite Spanish TV series “Paper House”. All the guys are very interested in learning the language. They listen carefully, give feedback. This is very important, because this is how I can develop my spoken Spanish”.

N

Speaking Club is a promising project that will help many students of IPACS RANEPA not only to deepen their knowledge of foreign languages, but also to find a new friends with different interests in Spanish region.
