Special project of the International Club IGSU: “Speaking club” (“Speaking club”)

During the meeting, the Head of the IPACS International Club, Anastasia Belyakova, introduced the curators of the language subdivisions, and shared an event plan and a schedule of meetings for different language groups with the students. Throughout the academic year, the students will work together on their language skills, developing them during conversations on the stated topics, discussing various videos in the original language.

Daniel Konotop, 2nd year student in “State and municipal administration”, member of the English speaking club:

“For me, the launch of the Speaking Club is a very important event, as it is a great opportunity not only to practice a foreign language, but also to take part in events of the round table format. This is a popular format nowadays, and the ability to perform on it, which I will be taught at speaking clubs, will help me in my professional and scientific activities”.

Arina Yurina, 1st year student in “State and Municipal Administration”, member of the French speaking club:

“I’m so thankful to the organizers for arranging the Speaking club. I managed to attend its opening and meet new people. Thank you very much for the bright and friendly atmosphere and gifts. I was pleased that there were foreigners who shared their experience. It’s nice to be a part of this team!”.

“The opening of the club was wonderful. There was a division into different language groups. We got to know the students and the curator better. We were also presented with a calendar for six months and told in what format our meetings would take place. At the end of the opening, we were presented with branded shopping bags”.
