Opening of the IPACS RANEPA “Speaking Club”

October 20, 2023

On October 13th, the opening of the “Speaking Club” took place at the Institute of Public Administration and Civil Service of the Presidential Academy. This is a special project of the IPACS International Cooperation Department for ambitious students who want to remove the language barrier and gain practice communicating in a foreign language. During the event, students – future participants of the “Speaking Club” got acquainted with the principles of the project, the schedule, and also saw the leaders of their language groups.

At the end of the event, students were able to participate in a team-building game, which was aimed at getting to know each other and strengthening communications. Participants were asked to use specially selected pictures, which had to be arranged in a special order, and then explain the idea of their mini projects to other students.

Participants of the “Speaking Club” of IPACS RANEPA spoke about their impressions of the event.

“At the opening of the “Speaking Club”, I received a lot of positive emotions and a lot of interesting and useful information about its work! I also really liked the interactive that was prepared for us. Thanks to this event, I met interesting new people, whom we will probably meet again at conversations club meetings!”

Adelina Kovalenko, a 2nd year student in the program “Effective Public Administration”, emphasized:

“I am a participant in the Spanish “Speaking Club” and, recently, an English leader, so it was doubly interesting. We took part in team building, got to know other club members, and created a poster with our priorities, it turned out very nice.”

We are confident that fruitful meetings await students of the IPACS Presidential Academy, where they will be able to practice their speaking skills in a foreign language!
