February 2, 2023

A delegation of the Institute of Public Administration and Civil Service (IPACS), RANEPA, consisting of administrative staff, faculty members and students, arrived in Almaty (Republic of Kazakhstan) to conduct a winter school dedicated to the professional development of modern youth as part of the elaboration of joint master’s program “Management Consulting”.

On January 31st, winter school`s opening ceremony was held. It was a joint project with the partner Turan University. The main event was the signing of a work program for realization of educational cooperation between the IPACS RANEPA and Turan University. The work program consolidated several agreements on joint projects that partners intend to implement in the short term 2023–2024. The signing took place in a solemn atmosphere. First vice-rector of Turan University Kuanysh Tazabekov and the heads of delegations, acting director of the IPACS RANEPA Ruslan Korchagin, expressed confidence in long-term successful cooperation and noted the importance of holding such events.

“Russia and Kazakhstan are very similar, but at the same time they are very different. Culture, traditions, habits and climate are very different, but this international cooperation is interesting. I believe that the format of our partnerships is optimally chosen; we can expand and deepen future projects and educational programs. Moscow is a familiar city for Turan University and especially for me. I studied at the RANE, wrote my thesis there, so for me the Academy is associated with warm memories and a legend in the person of Abel Aganbegyan,” Kuanysh Tazabekov emphasized.

Ruslan Korchagin noted: “The most important thing is that my colleagues and I have professional interests in this area. The creation of a joint product of educational activities can be a good start in strong ties between Turan and RANEPA. The youth for whom we create these projects are our future. Both in Kazakhstan and in the Russian Federation, they will be responsible for the implementation of sustainable development goals. For young people we can be helpful with our energy, our knowledge, in order to create an opportunity for intercultural communication”.

We thank colleagues of the Turan University for a productive meeting and a warm welcome. On behalf of the Institute of Public Administration and Civil Service, RANEPA we express hope for further fruitful cooperation between educational organizations. We are confident that the signing of this valuable document will contribute to formation of educational, cultural and scientific ties.
