IPACS RANEPA students took part in the scientific and practical conference “Prospects for connecting the EAEU and the OPOP”

On September 21st, a major scientific and practical conference “Prospects for connecting the EAEU and the OPOP” was held at the Central House of Scientists, dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the program’s “One Belt – One Road” proclamation. Students from the Institute of Public Administration and Civil Service of the Presidential Academy took part in the conference.

During the conference, participants discussed the prospects for bilateral cooperation between Russia and China, as key players in the international arena in the modern geopolitical environment. It was noted that in recent years the countries have been actively increasing the pace of cooperation, which is supported by the growth of foreign trade indicators.

The Minister-Envoy of the People’s Republic of China, Mr. Sun Weidong, during his speech, emphasized that over the past decades, construction within the framework of the One Belt – One Road initiative in Russia has led to fruitful results, this has laid a solid foundation for the sustainable and stable development of the Chinese Russian relations.

Mr. Sun Weidong noted:

“History has shown and continues to show that when China and Russia, both countries together, hand in hand, shoulder to shoulder, move forward, no one will defeat us. I am confident that the final victories belong to Russia and China.”

Students shared their impressions of the conference.

Ekaterina Elchaninova, 3rd year student in the program “Management of International Projects and Programs noted:

“The speeches of the conference speakers were very deep and informative. Cooperation between Russia and China is a relevant topic, especially in modern conditions. The unification of two such influential states can create a strong partnership that can play an important role in global politics and economics.”

We are confident that thanks to such events, Institute’s students have a unique opportunity to learn more not only about the historical and cultural aspects of Russian-Chinese relations, but also to immerse themselves in the trade and economic component of the interaction between the two largest economies in the world.
